This program of 20 short films celebrates 175 years of Somerville with vintage SCATV news clips, citizen journalism, profiles of Union Square businesses, performance, short fiction and more!

SMC Youth Media Mondays at 6 pm, Fridays at 6pm & Saturdays at 9:30 am SMC's UNews Program brought 11 young journalists from Arlington and Somerville together during April Vacation to learn from journalism professionals about how to get the scoop on real life local stories. They curated and hosted a local journalism panel with representatives from BINJ and Somerville Scout, among others; then visited the Somerville Public Library to learn how to do real research--and distinguish "alternative facts" from the real ones.
